Scanner Driver

[link to this post]

I have a flatbed scanner that works fine.
It’s a canoscan n67ou

After upgrading to windows 10 it no longer works. I’ve been on vue scan who offer a free trial and it works but it’s $40 and would be cheaper to get a new scanner.

Any ideas on how to get a driver that works on windows 10 64bit
Thanks

Have you done all the updates since installing Win 10.

According to this site it states
There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver.

If Canon haven't provided a Windows 64-bit driver for your scanner, you are basically stuffed. VueScan is a great piece of software, and I've just noticed that the latest version will access my CanoScan LiDE 80 directly. No drivers required. Yippee! I don't have to get my horrible Epson V600 out when I want to scan my correspondence. Now where did I put my LiDE 80? Maybe Linux will talk to your scanner?

'Sir, please,' she said ... 'Will you not share your wisdom with us?'
'I have no wisdom,' he told her.
'Your experiences, then?'
'They have been trivial, uninteresting, and full of error.'

The CanoScan N670U doesn't have a driver for windows 7 but some people have found that the driver for the CanoScan LiDE 200 works fine..

http://darrellhblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/canoscan-n6...

Following on from that Canon also have drivers for the CanoScan LIDE 200 for Windows 8 which on their USA site says
"Canon will not issue drivers for this model to support the Windows 10 operating system. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 drivers should function in the Windows 10 environment with some limitations which are currently unknown to Canon."

Thank you, that was a timely reminder to update my copy of Vuescan which resulted in a double Yippee!

I also have an LiDE 80 scanner tucked away somewhere, which I can now use again.
Additionally I have been using an ancient Plustek slide scanner. This needed an unsigned Plustek driver together with Vuescan in order to work and was a real pain to setup. The latest version runs the Plustek directly.
