speed is [censored]

any one having prob with speed iam on 8meg icon showing 6.6meg with is ok but when doing speed test only showing 2meg bean like this a few days now set them mail but there say try http://speedtester.bt.com but not working have tyred lots of times last spped test just now is Downstream 2,303.8 Kbps ( = 2.2 Mbps )
> Upstream 376.1 Kbps ( = 0.4 Mbps ) have used a few test sites still same speed

going off what i had check your BRAS profile as if its set low say 2000 etc you not get above 2mbit download. This is quite common dsl max. Should be present when finally manage to do the speedtest on BT site, hehe. I know what that thing like, never works

got reply from ident but i have bean getting good speed it has just happend in the few days what is BRAS profile mean iam lost here mail but iam useing usb modem speed touch with all the upgrades i have put a router in still showing same speed iam a loss can some one gis abit info on this mail cheers

I have completed test for you which have shown your MSR is 6816kbps,
your sync rate is currently 4544kbps and as your throughput is
currently
2737kbps (within the acceptable throughput range of 400kbps - 7150kbps)
BT deem the service to be performing correctly.

I appreciate this may be frustrating for you but unfortunately BT will
not accept a slow speed fault with these results. I would recommend
leaving your router connected constantly for at least 3 days or so,
then
if the line can support higher speeds the exchange equipment should
kick in and increase your profile up.
