I think you have made a wise choice, at the end of the day if something is cheaper generally something has to give... be it technical support of maybe traffic management down the line, people are easily seduced by costs savings which actually don't always equate to good value for money.
I had quite a hard time deciding whether to go for IDNet or one of the Entanet resellers, I think the IDNet business model makes sense and I also think they treat their customers with respect. This is very rare from ISP's these days and I have been with quite a few.

at the end of the day either Newnet or IDNet are better than Eclipse and their "traffic management" so it's a win win situation. In my opinion of course

When i left my last ISP i saw a few threads singing IDNets praises, the forums here were full of users saying how great the Customer Service at IDNet is giving examples like Simon phoned me to ask how the connection was running on day one e.t.c.

Like most people you assume you will never need CS but its when you do need them that the difference between good and bad CS becomes painfully obvious.

For me good CS that actually treat their customers as customers is as important as speeds and reliability.

One point that swayed was it's noticeable how this thread saw an instant hit of people saying 'yes - join IDNet'.

Whilst on the NewNet thread, there's still only reply.

So - well done all, you did a good job persuading me - go and claim a drink off the IDNet management
