Newsgroups ?

Non techi person... Looking for an alternative ISP.. Can somebody tell me if I choose IDnet will I be able to get any Newsgroups in OE like I do with my present ISP. I cannot see any mention of
it on the web page.

IDNet do not have newsgroups, we are far too refined for that.

If you go to http://www.hydrogene.co.uk and click on the nntp servers link at the bottom of the home page, there is a list of servers. Most are free to use.

Do IDnet block access to newsgroups - I have just joined a referal trial and can't access them - getting a 502 Authentication Error even though I know my username/password etc are spot on (the provider has confirmed my settings in the news reader)

No. No such blocking. Was on Giganews just this morning
