IDNet disappears off the net

Major probs with the network, I guess. ADSL down and even their nameservers aren't contactable.

Not a complaint (yet!), just to let anyone wondering what's up know they're not alone.

Idnet web site down, so is idnetters.

Just tried to call them, phone fault too.

Me too.

Trying to work from home and not a happy bunny.

DSL off for nearly an hour now.

Am connected to IDNET via dialup.

Starting to get hacked off with Planned Work that we are not informed about, Planned Manitenance that we get very short notice of, and the unforseen problems such over the last few days.

We're paying about £90 pcm for a business class service. Starting to think we might as well moce to Be Pro and save a load of money each month (and gain extra speed).

Not happy.

They're not having a good run at the moment - must be down to the new equipment.

Also working from home and now connected on my GPRS for the second time in two weeks... I hope this is just a brief bad spell and things will return to the normal excellent service we're all used to.

checked IDNet status via direct link and it says all ok

Also working from but using a free sky connection via wireless on second line OK but means I am now not connected to the intranet pain.

What I don't like is tha they say all OK on the status page when it is not and if this is planedd they would know...

My main gripe is one I have come across before in than when ISP offer phone lines they go over to it themselves so far so good.

But when they go down so does the phone lines and so you can not talk them to find out what is going on and what to do.

Bummer

I really don't think dropping out of the known universe was planned

I think if you're a business and can't afford to be offline for any time, it's worth your while having an alternative supplier. You still have several single points of exposure but at least your ISP immune. I came to IDNet because my other supplier is Enta and places like ADSL24 are Enta resellers. So far I've had both Enta and IDNet give me grief, but fortunately neither at the same time.

Be Pro might seem cheaper but it's still a problem if they hit trouble one day. I'd suggest going for a pair of cheaper connections instead.
