From 11.30 I had email problems - couldn't get any in [ using MacMail] couldn't access webmail either
Eventually this evening decided to reboot everything - and that's when the fun started
Virgin popped straight up as I launched FF and said that They were setting up my broadband !!
After a good deal of faffing about and a phone call to Virgin Media I was back online with a new account number , the account in my name and my old e-mail address back - thank goodness.
The only problem left to sort out is my Browser - FF 3.0.11
Now I used to have 3 toolbars - one for my forward and back arrows etc , one for useful things like News [ BBC , CNN, New York Herald etc etc ] EBay , Server Status [ essential for Virgin ] and a few other things. and then one for my bookmarked pages which opens in a set of remembered tabs,
Since restarting everything tonight I've lost the bar that has News etc in it - can't remember what that one was called and can't seem to be able to find it
Can anyone help ?
[edit] all sorted miraculously overnight - everything is now back to what passes for normality
