Who's Replaced Their Mighty Mouse ?

[link to this post]

I recently got a new Mac and decided to give the Mighty Mouse a try. Why is it that Apple consistently produce below average mice ? From the abomination that was their one button mouse (when the rest of the world had worked out that multiple buttons were the way to go), to the Mighty Mouse which only has the Scroll Ball (for adding horizontal movement) as its redeeming feature.

After having a Google I switched to the Razer Pro 1.6 which I really like (also has OS X drivers, though it works out of the box). It also runs at 1600 dpi which means, even with large dual screens (1920*1200 x 2), it only takes a small movement to reach any position.

Who else has ditched the Mighty Mouse and what did you replace it with ? tongue

I ditched it within a few days, now using a MicroSoft mouse. Optical variety.

It hurts a bit to say it, but it is a good mouse crazy

Where did you get the Raser Pro 1.6 Mouse from

The Mighty Mouse scroll ball would be great if it did not collect dirt or had a positive cleaning process.

I bought mine on eBay from this company. The manufacturer's website is here.

I haven't replaced it yet, but I'm getting rather fed up of having to keep cleaning it.

When I was a Mac user, I replaced my Mighty Mouse with the Logitech MX Revolution. Best mouse I ever bought. It was so good I got the Logitech VX Nano for my Notebook, which is just as good as the MX.

Not me, actually I miss having the mighty mouse whenever I go somewhere that doesn't have it. I find keyboard shortcuts faster and easier than mice for general navigation tasks anyway and have never really found a use for buttons. On the MM I have all of them switched off.

I hate Apple's mice, all of em. I don't even use one anymore, I have a laptop which I use with a graphics tablet when I don't use the trackpad.

I'd love to be able to use my MacBook trackpad with the iMac...
