Bootcamp

I had to replace the H/D in my Macbook under guarantee recently and was able to make DMG's of the Mac and Windows partitions.
I have been able to re-instate the Mac partition with its dmg on the new drive which boots OK but on re-installing the Windows dmg on a partition the same size as the original, I cannot get Win to boot.

Any suggestions?
