Scheduled SMS App?

[link to this post]

I had thought that a Scheduled SMS App would be great to have but, there is nothing available on itunes.
Google showed a couple of things but not for the UK (or an un-jailbroken iphone).
Any ideas folks?
TIA.

I didn't think that ANYONE would look into doing that - It's very good of you to warn people about it!
redsn0w is for Windoze (so I heard), and ultrasn0w is meant to be 'great for the 3GS - there should be a new version soon that it's best to wait for (allegedly).

My 3GS hasn't been Jailbroken and it won't be. As tempting as it is. I would've liked that scheduled SMS too.

Such iPhone extensions would require a background process to run. Apple doesn't allow this sort of thing (for good reasons, background processes can screw up and eat battery or toast the phone).

It would be possible if you left an application running in the foreground.

Nah, this iphone can get warm enough as it is and I won't be changing from o2 anyway.

Thanks for that though.
