Quicksilver (2002) what upgrades?

Hi all,

I've just picked up a 933MHz G4 Quicksilver off of eBay for the princely sum of £87.00 and was wondering, just how far can I go with upgrades for this beastie?
At present, the specs are:
933Mhz/1Gb/60Gb/DVDRW.

What I would like to know is can I install an Airport Extreme card into this G4, or am I limited to the original Airport? If the latter is the case, what other options do I have? Can I just drop in a bog-standard PCI wireless card?
Also, what options do I have for BT?

I know that I can install a larger hard drive, but can I use SATA drives with this G4? I have 2x250Gb WD SATAs, which I can pull from my defunct 'dose PC.

Finally, I notice that the QS has an AGP graphics card installed, which AFAICT supports ADC and VGA. I have an nvidea AGP card in the above 'dose box, which has DVI functionality. Would I be able to use this?

Useful boxes those. Fill it full of RAM from eBay. Look for a pci "airport" compatible card there also, seller ianpjudge used to sell them, a good guy.

It used to be possible to get MAC compatible SATA cards for these also....

Its worth trying the nvidea card, but unless its MAC compatible it wont work.

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to reply - I do appreciate it.

I have searched eBay for thar user, but at the moment, he hasn't got any active auctions, so I will drop him a mail after Chrimbo, to see if he can help me.

WRT the nvidea card, Apple sold the QS machines with a GeForce4 Ti variant. I have an old Ti knocking around somewhere, but I don't know where to get the firmware image to flash it.
If I can't get the image, then I guess I'll have to try and source a ADC>DVI connector from somewhere, cos VGA looks absolute pish on this Viewsonic VX910 I'm using.

I have something like this in a G4 used as a server. Item No. 400083546663 cheap enough. Theres also some belkin cards on fleabay.

Thanks for the links. Both of those have now been added to my watch list.
Which of those cards would you recommend over the other? The Belkin, or the generic branded one?

All I need to do now, is find a Mac compatible USB 2.0 PCI card, then I'll be one happy bunny.

In the past few minutes, I've just seen this on eBay. I'm going to email the seller to make sure it's fully compatible with my G4 QS and if it is, then I think I'll get it, so I can utilize those two SATA HDDs I have.

Yeah, on both points.. But it's all I was able to find.
Unless you could point me in the direction of something cheaper, that's going to work with my QS?
