I wonder if its down to the speed of the storage/flash chips, if the standard phone users cheaper flash it probably can't transfer at the higher speeds. Anyone done a file copy over USB speed test with any Android phones? Someone must now...
Looks like the Pro's support 3.2 Gen2 which is the insane terminology that the USB Forum have come up with... they've made the USB version numbering more of a mess than Apple.
and in 2015/2016, Apple was one of the first makes to adopt the USB-C port, on the laptops...!
