Is sim card required?

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. My question is this: Does one have to have a sim card in a tablet to access data on the move. I am not referring to voice as data.Simply accessing the web on the move through 3g.

Simply answer is yes but your tablet also needs to be 3G enabled.

If you have a wifi enabled phone that can be tethered you could use the tablet to access the internet via the phone's tethered data connection.
