Not bad for 3G, probably the fastest download you can get now. The upload is typical of 3G in 2020. Remember the networks are reducing the capacity of 3G, it is kept for voice calls for older 4G phones that can't use voice over 4G.

This is the HSPA type of UMTS (3G), often indicated as H on many phones. You should find that HSPA+ which is the DC-HSPA (dual channel) is no longer available as all the UK networks have reduced 3G capacity and moved the spectrum over to 4G. (LTE).

I have a 4g phone now or at least it was advertised as 4g but it only seems to connect at 3g. Are their any apps I can get that will tell me what I am actually connected to?

Are you sure it isn't a settings problem?

Sorted. Had to put EE SIM in slot 1 and make that the default for data and Voda in SIM2 and make that default for calls. Getting 51.8Mbps down and 25 up on EE on the phone on LTE.
