For some reason I cannot see my Canon Printer on the network using this Router
My printer is registered and displaying "Wi-Fi" on the front panel
If I use an EE mini mobile router for comparison its works OK
Is there anything in the Router Setup that can be tweaked, that would make my printer appear on the network

Is there an option in the router somewhere for something along the lines of "wifi isolation"? This would allow each device to access the Internet but would stop them from seeing other devices on the network.

I am sure you are on the right track, but I have searched the CP on the Router and I cant find any reference to AP Isolation
Lots of info on this on the net, but not specifically for the B525

Can you do a diagnostic print or otherwise from the printer and check it’s IP address info.
Does it appear on the list of devices on the DHCP server on the router? You should also be able to ping the printer on that IP from another computer on the network.

Does this help at all? Or this

If the device is on the Huawei B525 network it will appear under 'Settings>Security>Device Management' if its not there I am of the opinion its not on the Huawei B525 network.

Looking at Printer Properties and then a test page it shows
http://192.168.1.153/wsd/pnpx-metadata.cgi
If I use CMD and Ping printer on my EE mini Router I get
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.153
Packets sent 4, Received 4 Lost 0
So thats looks good and I know I can print on that router
If I use CMD and Ping printer the Huawei it returns
Request Timed out
Request Timed out
Request Timed out
Request Timed out
Packets sent 4, Received 0 Lost 4 (100% lost)
Presuably this confirms the Printer is not on the Network

I found this reference on a Huawei Forum
After checking the Huawei B525 datasheet, I found the Huawei B525 LTE has a DHCP server which enables users to enables and disable the DHCP server. or configure DHCP server address pools. You could do the settings by logon the WEBGUI via http://192.168.8.1. If there is nothing, it may because your router is a customized version with which the function is disabled, you could have a check with your carrier.
I will investigate the B525 CP to see what I can find
I appreciate the help given, I feel a solution is near to hand

Unless you have specifically changed the IP range used by the Huawei B525 the IP of the printer should be in the 192.168.8.x range.

Doesn’t appear that the printer is connected to the WiFi network of the Huawei.
Ensure the EE router is fully switched off. Switch off the printer completely when changing routers. After the Huawei is powered up (for a few mins) then switch the printer back on.
Check to see it’s getting an IP address. You should also be able to check its present in the DHCP server section of the Huawei.

Having a couple of Canon printers myself, I can only tell you that they are sometimes a pain in the neck to connect to wireless. the last one took me ages to get it working. i love their printers, but not how they connect to the network.
now my Brother LEd printer, was so easy, but i now use that on Ethernet.
i wish you luck.

Hopefully it’s not a WiFi compatibility issue. They seem less pronounced these days, but still happen across some device combos that just refuse to play nicely.
Hopefully it’s something basic in the WiFi setups and/or a bit of cajoling can fix.

I will investige the inner working of the B525
Annoying, I previously purchased an EE Mini router from Ebay for £10 as a test for signal strenght and that works fine
Then spent £60 on the B525 as it was "New Unused" and I have this problem

Look at this uRP for Canon Ip info

On the DHCP page under the Blue Title, do I insert my Canon IP details into thios boxes then save.?

As I said before and you have ignored my posts, if your printer is using a 192.168.1.x address and your routers DHCP scope is in the 192.168.8.x range things are clearly not going to work. You need to sort your printer so it connects with either a fixed 192.168.8.x address or gets an address from the DHCP range of the router.

@Bures,
If I was you, I would do a reset on the printer and go through the settings and make sure it receives a 192.168.8.x IP address. If it doesn't pick one up automatically from DHCP then I would assign an address within DHCP. The other option would be to assign an address on the printer manually. If you need some more advice please feel free to drop me a DM and I will see how I help you.
Yours,

As things stand you wouldn’t be able to print to the Canon as it’s presently defined in your Windows printers settings - basically it’s still pointing to the printer port IP address associated with the address range the EE router is handing out - as noted by @dect
What I’m asking you to print is the any diagnostic from the printer itself - NOT from Windows.
This will tell you if the printer is correctly joined to the Huawei network. At present we can’t tell for sure if it is.
Make sense?

Another line of thought…fairly basic WiFi setup related….
How have you setup the WiFi for then Huawei router - does it match exactly the SSID used on the EE box? Are the security settings (WPA/2 etc) and password identical?

Hoping for the OP it could be something quite simple. You never know.

Ok I have updated the Canon IP to read 192.168.8.153 which is within the router IP range (192.168.8.***
LCD confirms it recognises the router ok but Printer is not on the Network
Even using the WPS button fails to connect
Also tried Printer Properties/Ports,
New Port with 192.168.8.153
Fails to connect
------------------------------------
Looking at this page
http://bures.org.uk/dhcp/huawei.htm
Can I update the top box to 192.168.1.153 (the factory Canon IP)
I have 4 other pieces of hardware (TV, Laptops etc) connected, will updating this IP still retain all my other devices
If they became unuseable it could cause a divorce

On the Huawei ‘DHCP’ setup page, enter a new static IP address entry for the printer. Make it 192.168.8.153. Enter the MAC address of the printer (find that on your printer, usually a sticker somewhere) and then click ‘Apply’
On the printer itself, go into the network setup. Attach the printer to the SSID, password etc that the Huawei is broadcasting. On the printer leave the network as DHCP assigned and it should *always* be given the same IP address, 192.168.8.153 by the Huawei and the correct netmask and gateway to reach the Huawei.
Just make sure the printer actually *is* successfully connecting to the Huawei’s WiFi network. Can stress enough that it all hinges on this.

Printer is not on the Network
How are you testing this?
Try a web browser and go to https://192.168.8.153
If you are using Windows, you won't see the printer appear in the 'Network' icon.

Just about to throw in the towel
Canon : Reset all IP addresses
Canon now searches the Network for Routers and finds the Huawei
Insert PW and relevant IP (198.162.8.153) Sub mask and Default IP - displays registered on Huawei Router,
Canon CP "Wi-fi" now illuminated
Looks Good
Huawei B525 - insert same IP address in dhcp - returns accepted
There is a mention of having "Wi-Fi Isolation" box enabled/disabled but I cant find this option on the B525
However the Canon is nowhere to be found on the Network using various IP Scanners (Ipconfig/netstat etc)
Firefox doesnt find nor anything else
So is the Canon is talking to the router ?
There is no Wi-Fi problem with the Canon as its works 100% with my EE Router

The canon won't show on ipconfig ever (as that shows the computer's IP information) and not on netstat until you actually print.
At the command prompt on your computer can you try
ping 192.168.8.153
and see if you get any responses?

Ping the IP:- no response

The printer should have a diagnostics option that will print a page with the ip address that it is connected to.

Potentially the Huawei device is set by the operator (is that Three?) to not work in the same way as a normal home router and let two devices talk to each other. You should be able to ping a Canon printer, I have a Pixma which it connected by Ethernet to my ASUS router, and I can ping it from my laptop or desktop.

Now Working after this:
Reset all IP settings to factory on Canon
Disconnected EE router so it was invisible to Canon searching network
Located Huawei on network, inserted IP 192.168.8.153
_-------------------------
Canon Port
deleted WSD port and reinstalled
also added New port congured to 192.168.8.153
-----------------------
Huawei Router factory Reset to search for Canon
DCHP:- Inserted 192.158.8.153 and Mac number
At last after many hours the printer is in action
Both the New Printer Port and the WSD port now working
Thanks to all those who were very patient with me in resolving this problem
