Connection sharing with NTL.

[link to this post]

I have been trying to get an NTL connection to work via a router (I've tried wireless and non-wireless, both have been Linksys), but having gotten one computer connected, I cannot get another one to connect to the internet.

I think the problem lies with the MAC address of the NTL modem, but can anybody offer a solution to the problem. I'm sure people have managed it.

BTW, I have returned all the routers, so I am starting with a clean slate so as to speak.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks,

CF

Normally just a case of plugging the router into the cable modem / set top box but you need to power (pull the plug not standby) the cable modem / STB down and back on again.
