WAP to Router?

[link to this post]

Got a quick question. Moving into a friends house who currently has a wireless router setup, I have a notebook and a Wireless Access Point. Can I use the WAP (have it directly connected to my notebook with a cat 5 cable) in order to connect to the wireless router or will I have to get USB/PCMCIA adapter??
Cheers

Depends on the AP. My D-Link DWL-2000AP box can also function as a wireless bridge and wireless client, both of these features would do what you are asking for.

Kind Regards

Malte
