hi guys new to the forum but not the site

i have o2 broadband i used there router for a few months but as the router periodicly rebooted i got fed up with loosing connection mid game on xbox i looked for an alternitive and found the netger dgn2000 and have been using it for about 2 months the wirded network works GREAT no lost connection however the wireless on the router drops out and stays out untill i reboot the wireless part of it

is there any way i can connect the old o2 router to my dgn2000 and use the dgn2000 with internet attached, network the two routers and use the internet through the dgn2000 with the o2 wireless

i have tried a simple method of splitting the internet line when it comes out of the filter but that doesnt work so please help

Hi, do you mean rename the access point/router wireless SSID?

Example: I use a different SSID for each, so I know which I am connecting to via wireless.

Main router SSID: Mickey Mouse

Access Point SSID: Minnie Mouse

All on the same Wireless channel: Channel 9

Wireless Mode: 802.11g only

Wireless Network Security: WPA-PSK

For the network wireless security WPA-PSK (Pre Shared Key) I use 63 characters alpha-numeric long password, which I could never remember. (copy and paste to edit and save)

Get randomly produced password from the website https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm
