Hi folks.
Not sure if this is entirely the right forum, but for months I have been having a problem with my BT Internet.
I use a homehub, at first i used the wireless feature but received quite a lot of disconnects from online games (Bad Company 2 & World of Warcraft). I was also getting complete disconnects where I would be disconnected, open up a browser window (firefox or ie) to receive the message that my physical connection to broadband was OK but it could not communicate with the hub, usually about 1-2 mins after this it kicks back in and I can go back to browsing / gaming.
Unfortunately this is not very convenient, to log back into games / lose scores and generally waste time. These disconnects (where i get the hub message) happen 2 -3 times an hour. I will say though that i get more disconnects playing BC2 then i do WoW. But I still experience the complete cut (with the physical connection message) while playing both games.
I then switched my BT connection to Wired (thinking the wireless was maybe to blame) I switched that about 4 months ago, and sad to say, I am still having the same problems.
I have tried the speedtestbt website, but that does not find any problems with speed (as i didnt think it would) I am unsure if it is some sort of pack loss or what it is.
Does anyone have any ideas / suggestions?
Also I did read something about interleaving and that i may perhaps benefit from asking BT to switch this off (I have checked the BT Home Hub and it is listed as on however I see no option to disable it.)
Any help / advice appreciated.
Thanks
Kenny
