Well the money I have spent with Sky makes me really hope that this is an urban myth, although most myths have some truth embedded in them, and I fear you may be correct.

What would be your solution? In addition to the present annoyance, I hope to extend the network to a free standing stone garage and I will need ethernet cable for that. Would this problem repeat with a different ISP/router?
