RJ45 to RJ 11

[link to this post]

Hi,

Watched some YT videos people swear an improvement in performance and stability using a cat5 cable with RJ45 to faceplate and RJ11 connector to modem.

Had any tried it here? Can you recommend a seller?

What sort of faceplate?

And why would an RJ45 be any better than an RJ11? And Cat 5 cable - why? Cat5e will be likely to offer an improvement over flat non-twisted.

try googling "1m rj45 to rj11" the lead will work with openreach mk3/4 faceplates or any rj45 compatible faceplates.

i would be surprised if you see any improvement over a short distance....

I have the MK4 faceplate.

The modem and wires are surrounded by lots of electrical wiring.

My connection has the occasional drops in the day and tried everything else, came across this and few people claim the extra sheating helps.
