I am wondering if someone has an idea of a simple resolution to my dilemma please. I have set up an old router (on Lime 15.2 firmware). I have set it up to extend my connection. I have given it a static ip on my router, I have changed the ip pool, I have ensured the subnet is correct and the gateway and turned off dhcp. I have plugged a ethernet cable to the rear of my Sky router and into a LAN connection on the rear of the Technicolor. I have a good wired connection and a somewhat slower 2.4 wireless. 5ghz seems to go to sleep though and connects but I get the NO INTERNET message! If I change the wireless channel, after 30 seconds the router will allow connection and throughput until I disconnect again. Trying to re- connect gives the NO INTERNET again. I have another of these in my Son's extension (different addresses, but same settings) and it works flawlessly, although his had the firmware upgrade to 16.2. 5ghz is preferable as it gives much faster speeds and my wife when working can't get close enough to wire her laptop.
It's going to be something really simple, and something I have looked at continually and missed. Any pointers would be helpful, thank you.
