Yes, but there would be a charge for this as it would be a return to donor type order bring the line back to WLR, I am afraid I do not know what that charge is but if you send a sales ticket in they can find this out for you.

If its MPF to MPF then there should not be a fee.

SMPF (Shared Metallic Path Facility) is basically when the line rental company uses Openreach WLR (Wholesale Line Rental) and the broadband is LLU. (Complicated by the fact that as far as Openreach are officially concerned BT Wholesale is LLU just like Sky, TT and C & W).

MPF is when both the line rental and the broadband are LLU.

O2/Be were SMPF even when the phone line rental was through them. Sky LLU used to do SMPF and MPF but new customers now can only be MPF - except for the special arrangement for O2 and Be imports.

TalkTalk is MPF.

On MPF the line is invisible to BT Wholesale, and taking the line back to BT normally means putting it back on Openreach WLR, (thus making it SMPF), whereupon BT Wholesale can see it. It doesn't have to be taken back to BT Retail.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

From what Xilo and Vivaciti have said its impossible at the moment due to the way the system works to go from TT MPF to another MPF provider, and you have to go back to a BT phone line first

Errrrr it is now possible to go from one TalkTalk MPF provider to another MPF provider....only a couple of weeks ago i transferred from Talktalk residential to talktalk business. This wasn't possible a couple of years ago. Enter your number on the talktalkbusiness website (don't worry they won't spam you like the residential arm does) and if it says any of their packages are available then you can do a MPF transfer:

Signed up with Vivaciti yesterday, on a complete broadband (MPF) package. This is unlimited data , hence no peak/off peak hours.
They have put together this package for Coms refugees (their words) on Coms complete service, but as they do not do an" included calls" package they have made it unlimited to make up for this.
Migrating on the 16th April, so hope all goes smoothly
I am currently on "Coms Complete 100" package and rarely got to my 50 gig allowance let alone 100 when Coms doubled it.

Thanks for the update, Nick. I was thinking of doing the same but I noticed that their complete package on their website (Phone lines -> Broadband Complete -> More Info) does have mentions of throttling P2P etc. Any idea if that includes this new package? I'm sure it can't possibly be to the degree Coms do but I'm still a little cautious...

I did ask about Fup and peak hours on their Complete package, and the chap came back with the info I posted, IE there is none Also said I was free to mention this on these forums.. Seems this is special for Coms escapees as they say, so they must be happy for our custom, and they seem to have gone out of their way to help.
If you have doubts or questions drop them an email to their sales.

That is great news but are we in contract with coms? do you know, perhaps I had best take that up with coms as they are changing our agreement we should be allowed out of any contract. I am on the Coms Complete DSL 100 which I believe is full MPF.

No you are not in contract with them if you have been transferred to Coms from ADSL24, I certainly am not.
