Fibrehop

Anyone got experience of what Fibrehop is like on Cityfibre?

Conor, Just saw your post. I was on Vodafone using Cityfibre until June 2021 when I moved to Fibrehop as it was cheaper. For that change Fibrehop sent a new router and on the day of transfer i just swapped routers. If you are moving to the Cityfibre FTTH network from BT copper then I would assume Cityfibre contractors Kelley's will come and connect from black junction box at boundary of your property and run a pipe under your lawn/drive to front room wall. Drill a small hole in wall, fit Fibre terminating box inside. You need two spare mains sockets one for Fibre box and one for new Router. Fibrehop customer service is exceptional.

I'm currently looking into Fibrehop, what router do they supply customers? is it any good?

Looks like from the previous post they send you a Fritzbox.

Fibrehop provided the following Router. Product Vendor Technicolor, Product Name DGA0122, Software Version 19.4. I currently get 817 Mbps download and 932 Mbps upload, latency 4.97 ms.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently looking into Giganet, Fibrehop, No One, and Gigabit Networks (who I think are midlands only?). Aside from Gigabit Networks who provide customers on 900 megs with a Fritz! Box 7590 (not sure what they offer on lower speeds), the other three all seem to offer either the Technicolor Cobra M DGA4134, or the Technicolor DGA0122 Dual Band Router. Technicolor must have really reliable carrier grade routers I assume?
