But FTTP looks to now be available to us. Post on our rural property now has a fibre box on it, just needs wiring up to the house (over head). So looking at moving to FTTP with UNO. But have a few queries.
1) Not sure from looking at UNO WEB site whether digital phone connection comes with it? Or is this just standard with FTTP? I am aware that supposedly by Dec 2025 the old analogue connection is going anyway.
2) Could I choose to keep the analogue copper connection for now and just get the FTTP broadband via UNO?
3) If I have to go for a Digital voice connection via FTTP, can I keep my old landline number? After some 46 years at the same property, it would be an absolute nightmare to have a new phone number.
Though with frequent power outages during the winter months (and little to no CELL phone signal) this could be a bit problematical at times.
Thanks in advance.
PS. Never thought Openreach would run the necessary several miles of fibre to reach only a handful of isolated rural properties like ours. But looks like it's here now.
