Leaving Aquiss

Before I join Aquiss, if I find they're pants and want to jump off after my 12 month contract I have to pay an exit fee?

Yes. There will be a £45 Broadband Cease fee if you are looking to end your service with Aquiss. If you are also within your minimum contract, we will also ask you to settle any remaining contracted months in full.

Is this current, does anyone know? I seem to remember this was an Openreach fee. I'm thinking of using CityFibre and would be using the 'one touch' system in and out.

I don't think Zen are going to charge me to leave.

I would call Martin and just double check

On Openreach - yes I’ve had it attempted to be levied in the past by Cerberus and TalkTalk who both backed down / credited the final invoice, as the service was going to another OR-based provider.

On CF - as said check, but shouldn’t apply.

If OneTouch is used correctly, then no cease charge will apply (on any network).

If I understand correctly, the main situation in which this fee would apply is if you move out of the property, in which case you'd request a cease of the line on the move date; or if you decide to cease broadband entirely (e.g. to move to 4G or Starlink).

If you're staying in the property and simply migrating to another service provider on the same line, then it doesn't apply.

Yeah I agree. It's something that I've not yet myself found the right set of words myself to state what it means.

During the order application itself, we did update some weeks ago to better reflect.

The main cost creator sits with BT Wholesale who continue to insist on the charge (Openreach themselves have removed it).

something like that maybe?
