Switch the router off and unplug it from the power point and reconnect after 5 minutes.

Don't know what browser she uses but try and clear the cache and cookies before using it and see what happens next.

Toffee - Mind sending me her username again and I'll check it out.

There were a few reports of DNS issues last night which we'll pick up early this morning.

Yeah as i said in the other thread it was weird because with most dns issues, changing over to an ip number will pretty much give the game away that it is dns issues. but given even an trace route via an ip address caused problems it basically looked weird frown

well her nets down yet again this morning, just spent an hour looking at it for her laptops connect to the router ok but go into the router it just won't connect to the net.Going to check there so called status update now and see if there's any problems,if not i'll ring up and ask if there's problems and while i'm on the phone ask about how she obtains a mac code from these so called service providers.Whats the point in paying good money for a product that goe's off all the time, they don't seem to update there status pages. Now i've had a fair few service providers in my time but tbh plusnet are the worst i've come across in my time of the internet

Just so you are clear wingco... it was aimed at your pointless troll one of many of late, most ignored.. if you could leave behind your free chat juvenility and bring some adult constructivity to the table a little more often it would be a little more interesting.

Perhaps as a "self" proclaimed authority on Plusnet you could let us know when you ever have been a customer and what your actual experience is a question youve always bottled out of answering in the past.

Which is why I don't like Flat Mode.

I sympathise with your actual problem, though cannot help. But if you had looked at paddyclark's Post Header you would have seen that it wasn't addressed to you - as you point out in your reply to it there would be no sense in it.

In Threaded Mode it is obvious who he is replying to. Threaded Mode also allows much easier understanding of diverging sub-threads.

I have to ask - after the prior confusion were you intending to reply to RobertoS or to toffee? You need to make sure in flat mode that you are replying to the right person rather than just adding to the end of the chain. That's where the confusion started.

EDIT: I think I may be really confused as I think you were replying to RobertoS but also talking to toffee at the same time - my head hurts, anyone got some aspirin?

Your personal bluster does not hide the facts that a lot of PN, Madasafish/Brightview customers are having problems which are down to various failings within the PN network. These problems are there for all to read.

People will make their own minds up regardless of your obvious bias. I am not interested in what you have to say so will ignore any further posts you make. I suggest you do the same. smile

Yet again I draw your attention to;
We have no problem with constructive criticism or praise of any provider, be it by customers, ex-customers or individuals who have never been customers of a particular ISP.

See sticky.

Surely you should be drawing your own attention to

"We have no problem with constructive criticism or praise of any provider, be it by customers, ex-customers or individuals who have never been customers of a particular ISP."

For the umpteenth time... keep it constructive and adult.....

Yes there are plusnet customers having problems, yes Plusnet isnt perfect but your trolling nonsenities do nothing than emphasise your buffonery...

I note you have avoided the "question" again...

you personally as a Sky customer not having this problem means nothing in this forum, as my not having a problem means nothing to those having the problem. Shape up or ship out. Keep it relevant a little more your bitterness shows through a little too often of late.

Sky customer services are appalling.. do I as a never been there customer harp on about it NO....

I have to give it to you though you do manage to turn thing round in your replies when questioned to project your own shortcomings onto those that question you...

You have made many postings recently.. I have not jumped on you for those this was particulalry TROLL like and you have been justly condemned as such for that.

It would be more productive if people tried to actually help this user with their problem rather than squabble over which ISP is best.

The object of the post, regardless of what others may think, was to point out the problem was not being experienced by customers of all ISP's. This may or may not have helped the OP, however I felt it was a point worth making.

There's three recent posts of mine in here which are critical of Plusnet. At least I take situations as they are and respond appropriately - if I think Plusnet are wrong I say so. The fact that I am not a unthinking fan-boy who only ever praises Plusnet adds credibility to what I have to say.

Could you point me to some posts where you have said you think Plusnet are right when being criticised by others - it would add to your own credibility.

Hi Toffee,

What router is it ?

Most routers will check the internet connectivity for you via a link on the router's website . For instance the tompson 585 v7 (which pn supplies )

it will check internet connectivity so if i go to 192,168.1.254 and going to to the broadband section and clicking "Check connectivity to the Internet"

For instance mine gives me this

Test Results
Test Succeeded DSL
Test Succeeded ATM
Test Succeeded PPP
Test Succeeded IP
Test Succeeded Internet
Enabled/OKConnectivity to Gateway (195.166.128.53)
Enabled/OKConnectivity to DNS Server 1 (212.159.6.10)
Enabled/OKConnectivity to DNS Server 2 (212.159.6.9)

Which means everything is ok for me in PN land ...
