Well I can only comment on personal experience of two accounts.
1 business, 1 personal (new).
Raised two tickets on the business one in the last month. Both answered within 3 hours. Answered reasonably.

Raised tickets on the new personal one. All answered within 7 hours (as per wait time on the portal). New installation went smoothly, and working fine.

After reading these forums I wouldn't have believed or expected that.
I had assumed PN had melted down.

Number of customers private details made available in data protection act blunders

Number of customers (old present and new) insulted by Marco's rant

Number of customers fobbed off

Number of MAC's witheld

The list goes on, this October update shows they still love spin though, some things never change.

My continuing lack of confidence with Plusnet

[re: blewit] [link to this post]

The ticket got passed around amongst 20+ staff without any bothering to solve the problem. All that was needed was for someone to reset the account so that I could log in. In fact I asked them to do that at the beginning but they ignored my suggestion for three months.

In the last six months months Plusnet has contracted the disease of buck passing to cook the response statistics. Their staff have lost the ability to solve problems. This has particular implications for me as I am on LLU (moved without notice) so I am concerned that if my LLU connection ever breaks, Plusnet will be unable to fix it because of their "pass the parcel" ticket culture. It is for this reason I am looking to move my two Plusnet accounts to Be ISP in the next three months when they connect the local exchanges.

It does show pretty well that the Plusnet Ministry of Truth were clearly undergoing another 'learning opportunity' back in the Summer when we were told "the fact is that user for user, the fault rate on Tiscali is lower than it is with BT" when the reality was that the LLU fault rate was more than double that of Max.

Thats an easy one

28,000 ( twenty eight thousand) individual / alternative e-mail addresses and 20,000 customer details

Just a small blunder that spammers more than likely are using seeing as I have an increase of over 300 spam e-mails per week to the domain that was comprimised by Plusnet

OFCOM is more of a disgrace than Plusnet. If the regulator didn't buy into their lies and spin and actually did something about this pitiful ISP maybe things would be different.

But whilst PN can continue to spout off its propaganda and misinformation on a regular basis the fools will continue to buy into the lies just like PN's shareholders obviously do.

What should OFCOM do then?

Fine them? All that would do is make service even worse for customers most likely; since they'd just cut a corner somewhere else to pay for the fine.
