Satement (2)

[link to this post]

Recent threads have been high-jacked because of posts making accusations of favourable treatment of members and ex-members of PUG. I was about to make a post in one of the topics when it was locked. I am making this post to hopefully close this discussion.

I was dragged in to the exchanges by a response from Simon (pr100) here to a post I made in defence of Kitz. The part of this post to which I took exception was:

Could you perhaps try to get your head around the concept that, unknown to you or other PUG members, PlusNet may be enhancing your connection (for reasons which should be obvious)?

I have never had the benefit of a connection enhanced above that enjoyed by all other users on the same account type as myself. On the PUG forums there is a public post from Ian Wild here displaying my current profile which clearly shows I am on the generic PAYG profile.

Over a number of exchanges I requested that Simon retracted that suggestion and made an apology. Finally he made this post which included the following:

I don't know why you're making all this stuff up but for the sake of clarity let me state, hopefully for the last time, that a) I haven't accused you of anything and b) I know nothing about you or your connection.

Whilst this is nowhere near the retraction I wanted (and I feel deserve), in the interests of peace on these forums I intend to let it rest there unless postings are made whiich demand a response.

In reply to:

I always thought a "maybe" neither said one way or another, not a
statement of fact. You could call it someones thoughts, who is not
sure of something.

If someone said Plusnet is enhancing etc, that would be classed as fact,
by the person posting (that's not to say it is right).

Maybe I will stop posting on here, but that doesn't say I will stop,
or I won't stop.

Enough is enough.

Get the message all, this particular topic has had enough posts.
