Info Needed for poss new customer.

I have a friend who hasn't got broadband.
Only low usage, but not sure how low.
Would want to sign up to opt 2 (would take router), but after 2 months would check usage.
If under 2 Gigs per month, would want to drop down to opt 1.
Can this be done? would there be any costs involved?

Just looked at the PlusNet pages http://www.plus.net/residential/broadband/index.shtml and all options come with the same router so there should be no cost involved.
Note that Option 1 can be cheaper at �1 per GB pre paid for usage up to 6GB

When I checked Opt 1 it was a different router!
Wonder when it was changed.

On the prepay, when do you have to decide how many extra Gigs you want?

It changed this morning, good timing.

We're offering a wireless router on all Broadband Your Way options now, subject to the usual deferred contract.

You can decide at any time to increase or decrease your pre-paid usage allowance, it would then apply the following month. There may be restrictions on how many changes you can make in a month.

I looked at the PN web page before I posted it was a different router for Opt 1
When I checked it after it had changed.

So my friend signed up to Opt 1 and will see if 2 Gigs is enough.
