Move from MAAF to Plusnet

Question for any Plusnet reps...
A friend of Mrs sjr is about 8 or 9 months into her MAAF contract but starting to find the 5GB a little restrictive. What chance a move to a fresh 18 month contract on the unlimited package, without new hardware, on Plusnet without being stung for the rest of the minimum term on MAAF? Basically just swapping the 3 or 4 months left on MAAF for the new hardware she would usually get as a Plusnet signup?
