Email problems now/this evening????

Hi All

No idea when it started as just got back in from work but this morning email was AOK but this evening I get:-

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.plus.net', Server: 'mail.plus.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Now I have other accounts set up that bypass the PlusNet servsers and the email on them is fine but all the boxes using mail.plus.net are failing???

Anyone else had this issue now/today???

Edit - just tried a testing of an email and its fine!

No MAAF from about 8pm too I've posted about of MAAF part.

No service status update! guess all of them have gone home or got a life... unlike some of us!

+Nets Support say they could find nothing wrong with my account, asking me to try WebMail.

WebMail was fine on the one mailbox I tried.

What I also found was that though I could send that also has failed with the same error code.

I just hope 'they' are able to resolve it ASAP as its been over six hours since I found the failure to work frown

Edit - my draft mail has now gone. Which is pain as I had already sent it via another 'server' route, doh! Just hope the recipient does not think I am too stupid smile

+Net gave me the 'answer' this morning.

They say they were aware of a Gateway issue and to reboot/resync the router to get onto a different Gateway.

I was on pcl-AG01 and am now on ptn-AG1 in case that helps anyone else

Hi,

Rebooted for 3rd time and now on gateway pcl-ag02 instead of pcl-ag01 and mail is coming up.

So plus.net people you must have something wrong with mail.madasafish.com when your customers are on pcl-ag01, just hope i remain on pcl-ag02!

We're aware of the issues that some customers, connected on PCL-AG01 are seeing.

I've also posted a service status notice to that affect.

Again - apologies for any difficulties that it's caused.

My wife was able to collect her e-mail yesterday from her lap top but I have not been able to collect mine for over 24 hours and we are obviously on the same gateway because we are using the same router.

I can get to my mail with IMAP from the same Outlook Express that cannot download with POP3. I do not know if that tells you anything about the problem.
