Moving: Simultaneous Order

[link to this post]

Moving home soon.

Changing exchanges so getting a new pjhone number. Line rental is with Sky who advise they can't do Sim Orders. This seems strange. Means I'll have to wait ages after moving to get BB back.

Comments?

Hi there,

Someone else over on Community said that Sky couldn't do SIM provides too. I can't think of a technical reason why not (and I know a fair bit about WLR) so strikes me as being a policy decision. Unfortunately it means you're going to need to wait around 7 days to get broadband after your line is installed (assuming you want to stay with Sky of course wink).

I bet if you were to ask Sky to provide the broadband as well they would "magically" be able to do a simultaneous provide!

I was thinking the same thing myself.

Think I'll play the "put me through to cancellations please" card. Someone on the SkyUser (unofficial sky forums) has also commented that Sky "shoud" be able to do this, just don't.

Sigh. Why do people have to make things so hard.
