A relative of mine has just signed up with PlusNet, and is relatively happy with the service, apart from the DSL seems to drop every few days.
His stats show some 42 error seconds in the last 2 days, and some 78 million FEC errors!
Full stats here:
Uptime: 2 days, 0:19:09
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 3,552
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/GB]: 0.00 / 5.32
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.5 / 18.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 31.5 / 51.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 16.0 / 5.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / P
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 42 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 51 / 78,435,050
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 51 / 754
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 39 / 590
So the question (as always) is, are these stats good? There is only 1 phone socket in the property, and the router is plugged directly into it.
Thanks
Alan
