I begin to wonder if you actually know what's inside the casing and how things work.
The
Billion 7800 series is not a router. It contains one. It also contains an ADSL2+ modem, and it is that modem that you found to be better.
How an ADSL2+ modem that isn't in use has any bearing on the thread is something beyond my ken. Routers are not responsible for sync stability. The modem on the line is. You said the Billion gives more stable ADSL2+ connection. So what?
