So what?

What people commonly refer to as an ADSL router is usually a modem, router and wireless access point combined in the same box - the TG582 is such a beast. On fibre the router and WAP parts only are being used.

The OP made it clear that he was talking about fibre so your comment about the ADSL sync which relates to the modem component is totally irrelevant.

Hey everyone, I'm on ADSL, so I don't get to have an opinion on hardware v hardware.

The Billion is a better piece of kit folks.

My comment wasn't specific to any aspect of ADSL or fibre. It was a general like for like comparison...only after I posted we all suddenly got specific.

I'll wait for the "DO NOT POST IF YOU'RE NOT ON FIBRE" comments. This isn't the fibre section.

the bit that makes it better for you and you see as stability quite likely has no effect for the OP.

There is no ISP specific Fibre section.
