process seems to take up to 15 / 20 days to be completed.

also depends on if you are migrating from another ISP.

i signed up on the 7 th march i rang sky yesterday said it could take up to 14 days moving from nildram , checked the bt tracker no change there.stardard e-mail no letter in post or anything.
i have changed the install date for sky tv from this coming Thursday until the following Thursday
i won't to make sure i get the speed first so i have time to cancel in the 8 days after the equipment for broadband is first installed and used.

Mine seems to be going well so far: (fingers crossed )
Exchange went live on Sky LLU Sunday 3rd
Got MAC code from Zen on Monday 4th - big kudos to them as usual, the support is outstanding. MAC code was instantly given over the phone and in my email inbox within the same minute! Just a shame they are 3x the cost of Sky and half the speeds.
Order placed Monday 4th
Router from Sky arrived Thursday 8th
Line being LLU'd on Wednesday 13th

Cant say fairer than that really. I have read some horror stories and was kinda dreading it a bit, I need the line for work the following week and thought I may have made a very bad judgement call...we will see come mid-week

Got my order on the bt site at last but only after a call to sky to say i might cancel the whole package.
i don't have a sky system so they said i had to have the sky dish, cable , box installed first
before they would place a order for broadband.
i rang and ask for broadband first because that's why i signed up for the speed , sky tv is
second on my list.
anyway they agreed to place the broadband order first which is good, but i place the original
order i week ago that's because they where waiting for the sky tv side to be installed first.
The thing is if they installed sky tv last week and broadband this week the 8 days to cancel would have elapsed straight after the sky tv side of the order was completed.
i live 1.2 km from the exchange and get 7meg on adsl max so i hope to get over 12 meg on sky.
when i rang them they said i should get just over 15 meg on sky broadband, so will see if they are right and put me on the right connection at the exchange.
