For those that are waiting on Sky Connect be Patient. the router is not sent until after BT say they will change the line over on the day Sky have requested. This acknoledgment can happen the day of the connection or after it and sky won't send the router until Bt acknowledge it. I went live last tuesday and the router arrived with me today (6 days lateR).

Don't hold your breath,if they gave compensation for every late router they would be paying thousands out weekly.

Good luck let us know how you get on.

The more i read here and over at skyuser the more I'm thinking of staying with IDNet who have always provided a great service and have probably the best customer service out there.
I may just signing up for Sky TV.

IF it's for work you're breaking the Sky T&Cs.

Its a home connection which my brother uses now and again for work, it is not solely a connection for work, therefore no T&C's are being broke.

I think their T&Cs refer to using the connection in a work place.

My router arrived a month ago, a couple of days after placing the order, but I am still waiting word for the letter that tells me when I can expect to go live.
When I call Sky they tell me there is a 'delay' and that it has been escalated to Order management

Being new to routers I decided to opt for engineer install and tried to get the install date to tie in with my migration date.

Booked March 31st for install but Sky have already processed the MAC code ( go live 21st March)

Emailed them to suggest they send the router...I'll try the setup process and if I succeed I'll cancel the engineer.....if I fail the engineer could then set it up on the 31st.

This was not acceptable!

So I'll be down for 10 days due to poor customer care.

Not a good start.

Still waiting on my router, was told it will be five days. but 7 working days still not here on activation day!!!

E-mailed them, no answer, called them and they said they will send another as they can't track the original order?? So if I receive two I've to let them know (yeah okay! )

Luckly I know the migration has actually happened today with confirmation from BT.com but my UK Online router and username / password etc. still logs into the same Easynet system!! I Think!
Also connection speed has increased to 8100Kbps from 4500Kbps capped speed I was on!!

I am in the migration process, these comments/feedback do not look promising... ;0(

I know one thing, if I am without broadband for 10 days, the account is cancelled and I am back with my old ISP pronto... no excuses, no bull .. I am out, simple as! This is unnacceptable and obvioulsy the customer care in Sky really needs addressing.

I will wait and see....

madasafish to Sky, lets see how it goes!!
