Hi Will..
Unfortunately I would not know what you would get if you transferred over to Sky, as I presume these figures are with your present ISP. I am a new user at sky, get actiivated on the 30th.
My presnt figures/stats are:
Line Mode G.DMT Line State Show Time
Latency Type Interleave Line Up Time 01:19:30:27
Line Coding Trellis On Line Up Count 2
Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 5408 Kbps 448 Kbps
Noise Margin 15.3 dB 22.0 dB
Line Attenuation 42.0 dB 21.5 dB
Output Power 19.8 dBm 12.1 dBm
I have no idea what i will get when I transfer to Sky, if its about the same I will be happy, speed and the ADSL2 thing, fo r me anyway, is not such a big issue. As long as I am do not get a terrible low upload/download speed (fingers crossed!)
As far as download limits concerned, I called Sky to ask .. as at moment I have a 50 Gig fixed allowance..and wanted to know if this would be deemed as "excessive" in there eyes, the guy I spoke to said, no, 50Gig is not excessive per month. I ahve read (somewhere on this or another forum..) some Sky Max customers dwonloading 100Gig + with no probelms or hassle, or infringeing the Sky "fair usage policy"... suppose its all down to common sense really.. if your expecting to download 200+ Gig per month, then maybe Sky will be straight onto you..
Sorry no real definite answers, but tought it may help. I am sure a more technical minded member will answer your connection question..
madasafish to Sky, lets see how it goes!!
