Will I be able to get ADSL2 from Sky and so get the full (up to) 16Mb service?

I get a full 8Mb sync and at least 10dB SNR. Sky have continuously turned me down for moving to ADSL2 on Max. They keep saying that 8Mb is the maximum my line can take (which is bull).

Your stats are lower than mine so I suspect it is highly unlikely they will put you on ADSL2 unless you are willing to fight tooth and nail and risk still not being put over.

I think sky are following the BT route of the past and being overly cautious. I will probably now move to Be when the contract is up and go with a provider that will give me adsl2.

you maximum rate is there, 9568kbps for sync, you may get a little more on adsl2(+) but i wouldn't imagine it being much more

Sky Max (16380kbps // 764kbps)
