increase speed

Howdy. Im with sky and have been since Nov on the unlimited package. Yesterday I was checking my Sky router stats:

Line Attenuation - 24db
Noise Margin - 12db
According to the router my connection speed was 16Mbs (ish)
and according to speedtest.net my actual speed never went above 14.10Mbs

So I called sky yesterday and chanced my arm, asking if they could manually configure
my line, which they did. Here are my new stats:

Line Attenuation - 24db
Noise Margin - 7db
Now my router shows a connection speed of 18.01Mbps
and the max speed i can get at speedtest.net is now 15.52Mbps

So my question is...is there anything I can do to get my actual speed closer
to the 18.01Mbps.

I have tried changing filter, the test socket, with the bt accelerator thing and without
but alas no change.

Any ideas????

you can only get ~84% of your sync as raw throughput
