I am still not connected to TT after 4 months.
My main complaint is that they have kept me in the dark, have been of little help in resolving problems & failed to keep promises.
I was a customer of E7 until they ceased trading in July and assumed that my line was free after 2 months after not taking up ezee's offer of continued service.
I was a little concerned that there was still a a broadband signal on my line, but no internet service which I spoke to TT customer services about in September. after receiving a letter promising connection by 15 Oct.
I telephoned customerservices at the end of October & asked if there was a problem. They said not, but forwarded me to tech services at no cost which rang for some time before getting cut off. This was repeated a further couple of times during the following week or so with the same results, after which I called tech support at my own expense. They informed me to call BT as there was still a tag on my line.
I received an unwanted modem on the 4th Nov which I returned.
After a month & a large phone bill,I managed to get the tag removed on 13th Dec.
I called TTcustomer services next day who promised to treat my case with urgency & that I would receive a letter in the next 2-3 days. After 2 days, I called tech support & they promised connection before the New year.
I still have no letter or broadband & am dubious as to whether another series of protracted phone calls will achieve results or whether to content myself with the free service at the local library plus occasional dialup & use of a friend's broadband which does not realy meet my aspirations.
Had they been more helpful, I could have cleared my line weeks earlier & been connected during November.
