My uncle is with TT and after my previous experience with TT, I strongly advised that he gets out and goes with someone else but no, he's happy with them and has had no problems.
That is, until he tried to set up his own wireless router. To no avail could we get the router to work (no fault of TT at this point I would like to kindly point out), so he decided to go into Carphone Warehouse and buy one from them.... can't go wrong can he? Hmmm......
I went over and found he'd not installed it (not confident with doing it) so I followed the instructions. However I quickly got to the part where it asked for the settings to connect the modem up to the TT network (various settings such as Primary DNS etc.).
"Where's the settings for the wireless router to connect to TT?"
"Errr, that's all they gave me" (which didn't surprise me) as I looked through the normal things you get with a wireless router. He was pleased that he had got a USB adaptor but it's not much use to him as his laptop's already got wifi built in !!!
I rang their Technical Support (TS) after going through a 30 second message telling me Manchester was having problems and 5 different further options (2 minutes) to be told that her computer had crashed and could I ring back again on the number I've just rung.
I spoke to a guy who understood the problem and went through the settings with me although not with the router because he'd not had training on it so just gave me the settings (PEE PEE PEE PAPPA PAPPA PAPPA - very quickly, amused me when he said it!!) so I entered the details but when it came to the IP address, blank.... he'd not given me this.
I rang back and was told by someone else that I'd have to ring the manufacturer of the modem but it would cost
