Speed Query

The line here has been switched over to TalkTalk for broadband since yesterday afternoon. I noticed that even before I put in my new login details I'd been changed from a maxdsl syncing at 8128 to an old 2Mb fixed service and it still worked on my old ISP. Put in my TalkTalk login details and unsurprisingly still on the fixed 2Mb. But my query is that my exchanged is TalkTalk LLU'd according to samknows and has been for a while, so why haven't I been put on the up to 8Mb LLU?, and has anyone else here on TalkTalk experienced the same?. I'm using my own adsl2+ router by the way.

Can you make voice calls with the 1280 override prefix? If so you are on BTw IpStream. When TT cannot provision your line directly to LLU within about 4 weeks, it puts you on a temporary BTw service at 2Megs fixed. That would be if you are not paying the

My exchange is unbundled yes according to samknows as I already said, apart from the BT adsl services I can get just these two services;
C&W / Bulldog: Enabled as of 15/07/2005
CPW / TalkTalk: Enabled

I'm on the talk2 international plan, so it just looks like either I'm on the temporary 2Mb fixed as you mentioned/or the LUU lacks capacity. I'm not too fussed really but It would be nice to have 8Mb again soon.

If you have been placed onto a non LLU service, your exchange is unbundled and your not being charged for your broadband. The chances are that you will have been placed onto a non LLU as a temporary measure until there is enough capacity in the exchange.
