Can I connect to TT using an Apple Mac and PC

[link to this post]

Is it possible to connect to TT broadband wirelessly using an Apple Mac desktop and PC (laptop) on the same router? Anyone out there already doing this - would appreciate any help/tips.

Assuming your Mac desktop has a network card supporting the wireless standard used by your router then yes,

802.11b is the old slow standard
802.11g is the common one to go for, and some N routers are out there that offer wireless support for speeds in excess of what you can buy from Talk Talk.

OK, I'm using a wired Huawei MT882 router now, is my best option to get the wireless version or is there a better alternative?? I'm assuming that a standard Windows laptop and my Powermac G5 will be equally connectable through the router without any drivers/software requirements? At present my Mac connects via ethernet through the Huawei without any software installation required.

So long as what you buy is compatible with TalkTalk and supports a wireless standard that the cards in the laptop and powermac support then they will be able to connect.

Other than the drivers for the wireless cards in the computers which they should already have then no extra software should be needed.
