TT are aware and escalated the issue but I was hoping with a period of stability the issue would resolve itself.
What stability? The uptime is only 4 hours.

Yeah I know, I don't know if that's something being done by BT or TT? Not likely that time of the morning ie 6am?

Possibly either DLM making changes or a line fault. Have you got a corded phone to check if your phone line is noisy?

I think you may be looking at an engineer visit to resolve this.

Unfortunately only have a cordless phone frown

yeah I'm now suspecting a line fault although at first I thought there was a possibility that this new smart meter may have been causing the issues but I hadn't checked my line stats for a few weeks.

Been with TT for a couple years now with no issues and always been a solid 80/20 connection ever since upgrading to fibre with BT when it was first available here.

Argos do a corded phone for £4.49 , search for "Simple Value Corded Telephone - Single". Worth having as a spare and for diagnosing voice line noise.

Also time to get a battery AM radio tuned at around 600kHZ i.e. not on a station and hunt out any RF noise emitters. Turn off the VDSL2 hardware. Might want to play with shortwave in the 2 to 17 MHz band too if you have a shortwave set (most people don't)

Wondering if there is some nasty RF coming from the new meter.

Although TT haven't gotten back in touch with me I've had no drops in connection in 4 1/2 days, how long does it take for the DLM to kick back in and raise the profile?

Time to await the bill, unless you can prove the damp ingress wasn't down to you.
