In reply to a post by rmaciag:I assume that max achieveable speed is based on line stats (when I feed line stats data through the speed estimators I get 8-9Mbps range of max speeds so the max achieveable speed of 7150kbps as returned by BT's test is not very far from the estimates).
I think BT have worded that in a very bad way. What they are basically saying is that you are on an ADSL connection (as opposed to ADSL2+), so your maximum speed will be 7150 and the minimum will be 600kbps.
Looking at the stats of your connection, I don't think you are going to do much better.
