downloaded the update wizard still no joy

It's not a branded router is it ie AOL, Tiscali (sure they handed speedtouches out) etc as some of these are hardware locked and require some serious work to unlock.

nope not locked got it myself from pc world, any recommendtions for a good cheap router adsl2+?

Quite often find decent ones going cheap on sites like eBay.

Odd it won't upgrade, firewalls cause issues with firmware upgrades etc.
DG834GT (broadcom chipset) with Sky branding can be found on EBay for not alot, unlock, stick DGTeam firmware on it and it's a good device.

It means the destination host at address 77.107.129.49 is unreachable and so cannot be pinged.

YES TYVM BTW WHAT IS BRAS, RUNING NETWORK TEST oops sry caps one minute passes test then host unreachable what does that bras ip do? and y do i get packett loss?
