This version of DMT may work with your modem. http://www.2cent.de/dmt/v7/dmt.zip

It would let you visualise the noise on your line.

Time to reboot again...

Router has synced to the 6dB target margin, but somehow picked a low sync speed.

Need another rotuer on line to rule out bugs with the speedtouch.

I always used to disconnect and reset the kit to defaults before upgrading firmware, just remember to backup the config before you start.
Are you using the upgrade wizard that's on the cd ??

Not played with a speedtouch for a while though I've got a couple in the cupboard and an O2 one providing my connection but it's in bridge mode.
