Distance from the exchange

Hi,

I am about to get a new connection but i d like to find out how far is my house from the exchange server.

I remember that somebody had mentioned a website once but i cannot find it using the search.

If anybody has an idea, it d be much appreciated.

Just remember it's a direct distance, and due to BT's cabling techniques, totally unrelated to actual line length (example, I'm 2.65km from the exchange, but my line length is 6.94km - apparently).

In my case it say 915 meters (straight line) with the possibility of up to 6Mbps.

Do you have any idea what kind of downloading speed I am supposed to get with that?

If your wiring is ok in the new property then you should get the full 8mb

.... if the line goes straight back to the exchange, and not via the scenic route
