Dn line Attenuation changed? Normal?

Hi folks, just a quick question,

Been thinking about moving my service from Pipex over to SKY max and my line stats were:

Line Att DN = 15.5 , UP = 20.5
Noise DN = 27.9 , UP = 25.0

Now that was last week, this week its changed the line Attenuation to 40.0 ?

Is it normal for Attenuation to change so much?

edit to add I am approx 1.13 km from exchange as the crow flies!

It's not usual for the attenuation figures to change so significantly. Has the noise margin changed as well?

It might be worth asking Pipex to have BT look at the line before you think about moving suppliers.

Either one or other figures are incorrect (I think I have seen 15.5dB reported erroneously by some devices e.g. certain Voyager models)t or something has happened to the line.
Try rebooting the modem and see what happens.
Does the phone work ok?
